Shelby and Me
Whether you’re a client, friend, business associate or family member, I want to help you get to know me a bit better. The way I see it, that kind of openness makes for good relationships of all kinds.
So, here’s what I am, in wonderful, readable bullets:
I am:
- An independent copywriter, marketer and creative communicator. I do all this through my business, Barking Shelby Communications.
- An aikidoka. (A what?) Aikdoka is Japanese for someone who trains in the martial art of aikido, “the art of peace.”
- A musician. I love to play the guitar and sing, especially when it involves singing with others. Not only offer an internal solace, it represents a mode of communication through which I develop deep connections with others. Music is my solace, and my guitar is my best friend.
- A father and husband. I’m indescribably lucky to have two wonderful daughters and an incredible wife for a roomate. I also am dad to Shelby the yellow lab and a poodle named Arlo.
